YARNS Relate is a special series of napkins, produced by Farm of the World and inspired by farming crops from Friesland. It stands for connection. Every set consists of two napkins, which together form one natural symbol referring to the way people come together at the dining table to share a meal. Furthermore by purchasing this product you contribute to Treasures of Nature: a special programme for unprivileged youth. This makes YARNS Relate an original, as well as a social and sustainable project.
The napkins are available in five symbols (swiss chard, nasturtium, plantain, wheat, cow parsley) and three colours and are hand printed at Grafisch Atelier Friesland onto organic linen from the company Vieböck, an old weaving mill from Helfenberg, Austria. The plants shown on the napkins are all growing at and around the farm Kreake in Huns, where Farm of the World is located.
