The Kreake is situated on clay soil. For centuries, the clay has been another product of the local and regional economy. At the Kreake, students, designers and artists from all over the world will work and experiment with the local clay.

Since April we also have our very own Farm of the World-ceramics series! Together with Cor Unum we  developed a product line of handmade, artisanal ceramics called CLAY reglaze. The colours used for this special ceramics series are based on the ones Claudy Jongstra uses in her work, made from natural dye crops like onion skin, walnut and indigo. The line is handmade and sustainable and vary from plates, bowls, cups and jugs.

CLAY reglaze is available at and in selected design- and museumshops.

Things to do at De Kreake
